16th August - The bright light and rubber hose this time are handled by the delightful Helen Hunt, ace blogerine at Fiction Is Stranger Than Fact - see: http://fictionisstrangerthanfact.blogspot.com Incidentally, this is a great resource and info site for anyone writing short fiction, especially for the women's mag market.

6th August 2010 - Another interview, this time a 3-hander between Jeremy ('Free Agent') Duns, JJ ('The Interrogator') Cooper and me, conducted by ace interrogator himself, David Foster of the Permission to Kill blogsite. See the full text at: http://permissiontokill.com/blog/2010/08/06/the-guns-of-august/

1st August 2010 - Read the very probing questions put to me by John T Cullen on the International Thriller Writers website at - http://www.thrillerwriters.org/2010/07/red-station-by-adrian-magson.html#more

July 2010 - My short story 'Finders Weepers' will be in Maxim Jakubowski's next Best British Crime anthology (2011). It's an honour for me to to be included among some great authors, with a variety of styles and stories.

March 2010 - BIG Buns-for-tea moment:

NEWS ONE:
David H Headley (Superagent), has secured me a 2-book deal for a series with SEVERN HOUSE, the first of which - 'RED STATION', starring Harry Tate of MI5 - is out in AUGUST (NOVEMBER in the US).

NEWS TWO:
DHH also secured a 2-book deal for a series with ALLISON & BUSBY, the first of which - 'DEATH ON THE MARAIS', starring Inspector Lucas Rocco of the French police circa 1960s - is out in OCTOBER.

To say I'm pleased would be understating it.

My story 'Special Delivery' has been included in Maxim Jakubowski's MAMMOTH BOOK OF BEST BRITISH CRIME (Constable & Robinson), out now. Yoiks, I'm in some really special company here.

My short story 'Shooting Fish' - is now up on the 'Plots With Guns' website - see http://plotswithguns.com/8magson.htm Unlike the one below, which is all nice, you CAN expect guns 'n stuff in this one (well, the name of the site should give you a clue).

A slight change of genre: My audio story 'Almost Paradise' is now available for downloading from the SNIPLITS website store - http://www.sniplits.com. Just a warning, however: this is not a crime story, so don't expect guns 'n stuff. And it's got the sexiest female American accent evah!.

Long live the short story... and the serial. For those who prefer their crime fiction to have a slightly softer approach (as opposed to the usual wham, bam and buckets of blood) my 3-part serial called 'Crime Wave at Southbeach' began in the magazine MY WEEKLY on the 27th March 2010

There's a growing field of flash fiction out there, much of it on sites such as Thrillers, Killers 'n Chillers, edited by writers Col Bury and Matt Hilton (the latter the author of the excellent Joe Hunter thriller series). They've been very cool and accepted one of my short shorts, called 'Jingle Bells' (well, it's that time of year, after all). Read this and other contributions from terrific writers all over at http://thrillskillsnchills.blogspot.com/ (and go to 21st December 2009)
I hope you like it.
